Organist Jonathan Oldengarm

The Royal Canadian College of Organists presents internationally acclaimed organist Dr. Jonathan Oldengarm in concert, “Hometown Heroes and Beyond”, at Chalmers United Church (212 Barrie St, Kingston) on Friday, September 18, 7pm. Admission is by a freewill offering.

The recital celebrates Canadian organ music and repertoire from across the centuries, including Ruth Watson Henderson’s brilliant Chromatic Partita. Oldengarm is Minister of Music and Organist at Toronto’s Metropolitan United Church, home to Canada’s largest pipe organ. A McGill doctorate holder, FRCCO, and laureate of international competitions, he is widely praised for his technical brilliance, insight, and joyful expressiveness.

Dr. Oldengarm will lead a masterclass at Chalmers United Church (212 Barrie St, Kingston) for RCCO members and scholarship students.
