Haydn & Beethoven

Whether a restless temperament, a protest against authority, or the impulse to blaze a new compositional path, composers have created some of the world’s finest works from an innate spirit of rebellion. From Haydn’s Farewell Symphony, the ultimate protest piece, to Beethoven’s brilliant Symphony No. 7, standing in the face of convention, this concert calls upon the rebel in us all.
