Austra at the Broom Factory

Doors: 7:00pm Showtime: 7:30pm

We’re thrilled to welcome one of our favourite Canadian musicians to the 2027 Fest – the one and only Austra!

Austra is a Canadian composer, electronic producer and singer best known for her ethereal voice and genre-blending sound. Over the past fifteen years she’s released four albums with renowned indie label Domino Records and has played sold out shows from Brazil to Japan to Warsaw. Her recently released fifth album Chin Up Buttercup has been described as “a grief record you can dance to.”

She’s got cinematic cred as well: she scores films and is a Canadian Screen Award winner for her work on the documentary SWAN SONG. She also wrote and starred in CHIN UP BUTTERCUP, a short film that acts as a companion piece for the album of the same name.

Austra will be joining us at the Broom on night two of KCFF27, so come on down and soak up some Festival atmosphere!
