The Philharmonisches Streichquartett Berlin carries the musical lineage of one of the great orchestras: distinguished, refined, and deeply committed to the highest standards of ensemble playing. Barber’s achingly beautiful Adagio, Dvořák’s joyful and melodically irresistible American Quartet, and Schubert’s haunting and magnificent Death and the Maiden – one of the greatest works written for string quartet.
